Gasperini ended a nine-year spell in charge of Atalanta ahead of making the move to the Stadio Olimpico on Friday as Claudio Ranieri’s permanent successor.
During his time in Bergamo, the 67-year-old delivered Europa League success in 2023/24 while establishing the club as mainstays of Serie A’s upper reaches.
He joins the Giallorossi following a season of turmoil in which Ranieri took temporary charge following the departures of Daniele De Rossi and Ivan Jurić.
Gasperini has signed a three-year contract in the Italian capital.
